AbsoleM-plifier : outdoors smoking device

Project developed during the course “Sensory Amplifiers“ at Postgraduate Studies Program, Department of Architecture, University of Thessaloniki, Greece, 2013.
Tutors: Alex Vaitsos, Carlos Loperena

The device consists of water pumps, tubes, filtration vessel, pods, waste cup,  ceramic stoppers, tweezers, lighter, tobacco capsules, protection container and equipment outlet, all sewn on a garment. After dipping the tube underwater, pumped water is channeled through the filtration vessel and the main “nargileh” pod. Pumped water can also be channeled to the waste cup or the equipment outlet.  The tobacco capsule is placed on the ceramic stopper, charcoal is lit, then the protection container is placed above the ceramic stopper. The device is ready to use.
